A. Rowlette, Jr. COL(ret), P.E., PMP is a Kentucky native, Bob attended the University of Kentucky on a 4 Year U.S. Army ROTC scholarship and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He entered active duty with the U.S. Army in May 1979. He served at Fort Belvoir, VA, Louisville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Fort Rucker, AL where he commanded Charlie Company of the 46th Engineer Battalion. Following his tour at Fort Rucker, Captain Rowlette returned to the University of Kentucky and obtained his Master of Science in Civil Engineering in preparation for duty at West Point, NY. CPT Rowlette was assigned to the United States Military Academy as an Associate Professor of Mathematics. Upon completion of this assignment Major Rowlette attended the U.S. Army’ Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Subsequently MAJ Rowlette was assigned to Schoffield Barracks, HI; Fort McPherson, GA; Commanded the Charleston District of the USACE; and served at The Army’s Personnel Center in Washington, DC. Subsequently COL Rowlette attended the Canadian Forces College in Toronto, Canada and then was assigned as the Commander of the Louisville District of the USACE. COL retired from active duty upon completion of his command at Louisville District after 26 + years of active duty service.
COL (ret) Rowlette then became the VP of Construction for Meritage Homes in Orlando, FL. He worked there for two years before coming to New Orleans to serve as the Program Manager and Team Leader for a Joint Venture Team to provide Program and Project Management Support for the Greater New Orleans Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS). He and LTC (ret) Brett Perry formed a PPM Support Company, Sapper Solutions, LLC in late 2017 and continue to provide Program and Project Management Support to the New Orleans District USACE for the HSDRRS and BBA18 Programs including standing up a PMO at New Orleans District.
Bob is a registered Professional Engineer and PMP certified by PMI. He is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and PMI
