 Mike earned a BS in Civil Engineering in 19
 84\, and a MS in Engineering Management from the University of New Orleans
  in 2000. Mike has worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans s
 ince 1985. He has served 25 years in the New Orleans District Operations D
 ivision\, where he has occupied several key positions\, and now serves as 
 the Chief of Operations Division.&nbsp\;
 In Oct 2005 Mike joined the exe
 cutive team of the Louisiana Recovery Field Office (LA-RFO) for the respon
 se and recovery from hurricanes Katrina and Rita and served as the Directo
 r of the LA-RFO from June 2006 to July 2007. In this role Mike led a $2.9 
 billion Public Works and Engineering response and recovery program in a 40
  Parish area of south Louisiana.
 In July 2007 Mike joined the Mississipp
 i Valley Division\, Task Force Hope as the senior Program Manager of the H
 urricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System. He later served as both t
 he Deputy Director and Chief of Task Force Hope charged with leading the d
 esign and construction of the $14.48B Greater New Orleans Hurricane and St
 orm Damage Risk Reduction System.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
